Six years ago, EMC used to be EBC (Evangelical Bible Church). At the same time four men from our local EMC congregation went to the Mighty Men Conference (MMC), this is where it all started.
In 2009 they went to KZN for the MMC, where they received the vision that God gave to them. As they made their way back to the Western Cape, they felt God’s presence amongst themselves. The journey continued and emotions arose.
They were supposed to make their way back to Cape Town, but they made a detour to Fisherhaven instead. When they arrived in Fisherhaven and settled in, they came together and started praying. God blessed their vision and allowed them to build EVANGELICAL MISSIONS CHURCH.
EMC has been blessed ever since its birth. Even though EMC has been attacked by the enemy through many channels, God kept us in the palm of His hand and took control of every situation. We celebrated the five year anniversary on 21 September 2014. We believe that greater things are still going to happen at our local church.
